My name is Mugabi Gabriel, a journalist and the founder of Compassion for the Disabled Uganda. Driven by a mission to provide support and amplify voices that drive meaningful change, I founded this organization as a heartfelt commitment to ensuring persons with disabilities are seen, heard, and valued. Through the power of media, we create platforms where individuals can share their dreams, inspire their peers, and challenge limiting perceptions.
I believe that every person with a disability carries a powerful story of hope, resilience, and aspiration that deserves to be told. By uplifting these authentic voices, we build confidence, transform mindsets, and reveal the abilities and potential that exist within every individual.
To me, journalism is more than a profession. It is a tool for empowerment, a way to amplify dreams, celebrate abilities, and help build an inclusive society where persons with disabilities are supported, recognized, and appreciated for who they are and who they aspire to become.
